All about the new Optex intrusion system

The OPTEX VXI-CMOD Sensor Kit is the video verification solution that combines a smart outdoor sensor with a 180-degree HD camera with wifi. This system connects to your phone via a mobile app or third-party security equipment, bringing convenience and peace of mind to home and commercial security.

The OPTEX Vision mobile app allows visual verification of sensor activation in real time, so that the user can take appropriate action wherever they are.

How does it work exactly? When the sensor detects an intruder, the camera is triggered: it records the event and sends a notification to the registered mobile phones of the owner or security officer.

By opening the app, users can access the live view of the camera and a recording of the event to verify. In addition, the system also allows the video to be streamed live to third-party security systems and equipment. Similarly, notifications can be enabled or disabled and there is multi-user access to the live view and stored videos, as well as sharing of recordings.

The camera relies on a highly reliable sensor that will only send a notification when the alarm is genuine, i.e. when a person or vehicle has been detected. The outdoor sensor and wifi camera can be added to an existing alarm panel or installed as a standalone outdoor intrusion detection solution, providing home or business owners with security surveillance they can access at their convenience.
