New FlipX sensors for high-precision and flexible indoor protection

Optex, the world's leading sensor manufacturer, is launching the FlipX series to meet the needs of installers and end users. The key feature of these sensors is their flexibility and versatility, coupled with the high accuracy that is characteristic of all Optex products.

The range features a high-performance pyroelectric sensor that with only one lens can perform dual functions: wide detection and long and narrow detection, thanks to its 180º rotating lens. This is a range of indoor detectors, perfect for residential and commercial use.

Masaya Kida, General Manager of OPTEX EMEA, says: "The new sensors provide improved detection performance and high flexibility. By simply rotating the lens to change the sensing shape from narrow to wide, FlipX offers the power of two sensors in one. The sensor also includes a 180° cover lock and an easily visible LED light, making installation quick and easy."

FlipX sensors feature enhanced technology and performance, plus an improved design with LED illumination. They can be mounted on walls or ceilings, up to 3 metres high. They blend seamlessly into the aesthetics of any home, office or retail space.

There are two different models in the range: One with PIR technology (FLX-S-ST) and one with dual PIR and microwave technology (FLX-S-DT) for more challenging indoor environments. Optex plans to add more products to the range later this year and early 2023.
